Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Kevin Adkins, who was named Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center’s July Employee of the Month! Kevin is a security officer.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Kevin received several nominations, and you can read the story below:

“Kevin Adkins in security has done a remarkable job with some of our more difficult patients. We’ve struggled with one patient in particular, but when Kevin is here, he spends enormous amounts of time with him. He could have spent his down time in his office with the door shut, but chose not to. He made multiple trips to the kitchen to get him food, took him outside and made sure his needs and requests were tended to. He was able to build a good rapport with him and earn the patient’s trust. We have not had any major incidents with this patient when Kevin is here. He has certainly made my job easier and the days better for all the staff.” -Terrie Froebe, RN Supervisor
