People eligible for Medicare have several options to consider when choosing a health plan that best fits them. They can make changes to the plans listed below during the Medicare open enrollment period:
- Original Medicare
- Medicare Prescription Drug Plans
- Medicare Advantage Plans with or without drug coverage
Medicare Advantage Plans are health plans offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide patients with all Part A and Part B benefits.
Open enrollment for advantage plans is October 15-December 7, 2016.
