Leadership Changes

Below is the email communication sent from Fred Manchur, CEO of Kettering Health Network, to all network employees:

It is with mixed emotions that I share that Terri Day is leaving her position as President of Kettering Health Network.

Terri has been with Kettering since November 2010, first as Network Chief Operating Officer, then as President. Terri has made a significant difference for our Network and community. She led the development of the One Best Practice initiative guiding the organization’s structure to fully operate as one Network.

Please join me in thanking Terri for her years of dedicated service to Kettering.

Our continued success is dependent on an effective organizational structure and leadership team that will position KHN for the future.  We are very fortunate to have many experienced leaders ready to serve.

With that in mind, I have asked Roy Chew to assume the role of President of Kettering Health Network.  Roy needs no introduction.  He has served within the Network system for 38 years, has numerous extraordinary achievements to his credit and was recognized as “Leader of the Year” by Leadership Dayton in 2015.  Roy will be responsible for implementing structure and providing the oversight that continues our path of Network alignment.

Jarrod McNaughton has been promoted to President of Kettering Medical Center and Executive Vice President of Kettering Health Network.  He will provide executive oversight to Kettering while continuing Network responsibilities for Marketing and Government Relations.  Jarrod has nearly 20 years of healthcare experience and has expanded our influence in our local and state communities since arriving in 2013.

Terry Burns will serve as an Executive Vice President of Kettering Health Network and Chief Financial Officer of Kettering Medical Center.  Terry is no stranger to KMC.  From 2001-2007 he was instrumental in improving revenue and reversing operating losses.  Returning to the Network in 2011, Terry completed the construction and opening of Indu and Raj Soin Medical Center in addition to guiding significant organizational improvements at Greene Memorial Hospital.

Todd Anderson will serve as an Executive Vice President for Kettering Health Network with responsibility for Finance and Clinical Integration Strategy.  Todd is currently the Senior Vice President of Market Strategies for the Network.  His knowledge of the rapidly changing healthcare environment and his strong financial background will ensure successful positioning and continued growth.

Rick Dodds has been promoted to President of Soin Medical Center and Greene Memorial Hospital.  Rick has been Administrative Director of Human Resources for Kettering Health Network since January 2014.  No stranger to hospital administration, Rick has experience in finance, human resources and hospital operations in addition to his 5 years as a Vice President position at Adventist Health.

Steve Chavez will assume the role of Network Vice President of Contracting.  Steve’s extensive experience with payers and strong background in finance position him well for this new role.

Please join me in congratulating these leaders and I ask for your support for each one as they transition into their new roles and responsibilities. Transitions will begin immediately and continue through December.

We are well positioned for our future.  With a seamless transition of leadership, supported by a highly talented and experienced team, we will continue to make a positive difference for our patients and community.  Thank you for your continued commitment to our mission.

Fred
