Congratulations to Maggie Haskell, who was named Troy Hospital’s October Employee of the Month. Maggie works in Medical Surgery.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Maggie was nominated by a co-worker, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Maggie is a proactive and initiative employee. She always has a smile on her face, and is willing to help her coworkers and her patients whenever and with whatever she can do. Maggie frequently cuts her breaks short. We recently had a patient admitted to our Medical Surgery unit who was particularly bored. Maggie took the initiative to take the patient for a walk outside. She maintained all safety precautions an ensured that nursing staff was aware of her actions. After this patient’s walk, he was much more relaxed and so grateful to Maggie for her caring actions.”
