Make the Most of Your Health Care in 2018

Read Time: 2 mins

At the start of a new year, many of us make goals–and some may be health related. To help make this a healthy 2018, it’s important to make health care a part of your game plan. Here are a few ways to make the most of your benefits and resources that are available to you.

Choose Tier 1 Providers and Facilities

If you have the employee health plan, Kettering Physician Partners providers are in the KHN Choice Network (Tier 1). That means you will get the highest level of medical coverage by seeing a Kettering Physician Partners provider and using Kettering Health Network facilities. To see a chart of tier pricing, look in the 2018 Benefits Guide. To find a Tier 1 provider, visit ketteringphysicianpartners.org

See Your Primary Care Provider

A relationship with your primary care provider is one of the most important relationships you can have. Primary care providers can help you prevent illness and stay healthy. Your primary care provider can also help find any health issues early on when they are often easier to address. It’s important to see your primary care provider at least once each year for a wellness visit and then follow up with any other recommendations as part of your personalized health care plan.

If you’re looking for a primary care provider, there are multiple ways you can get connected with one. To find a Tier 1 provider, you can look online at ketteringphysicianpartners.org or call Employee Connect at ext. 70000, where they will help schedule you with a provider near you.
