Congratulations to Marijo Hartman from Advanced Women’s Healthcare for being named Kettering Physician Network’s January Employee of the Month!
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care.
Marijo demonstrated great care, compassion, and competency when helping a patient. One of her co-workers describes what happened in the excerpt below from her nomination:
We received a thank you card for Marijo, from one of our patients who explained that she had recently come in to the office, without an appointment. She was requesting to see Dr. Costa as soon as possible for a second opinion on a health issue. The health issue that the patient was experiencing was medically time sensitive, as well as emotionally difficult for the patient. The patient’s card explained “it was a terrible time, but your kindness is something I will never forget.” The patient thanked Marijo for her kindness, for working her into the schedule, and for contacting the insurance company quickly when a registration error was found. The patient stated in closing, “Thank you for your kindness. You made a big difference in our lives.”
