Mask Wearing Now Required for Health Care Personnel

In keeping with the newest CDC guidelines, all staff, physicians, and other providers are now required to wear masks when in KHN healthcare facilities as follows:

  • All employees/ providers who come within 6 feet of patients during their workday are now required to wear at minimum an isolation mask throughout their shift, removing the mask only to eat and drink
  • Employees who do not come within 6 feet from patients during their workday may wear an isolation mask or a cloth mask that has been approved for wear by their dept leader.
  • Employees who choose to wear a cloth mask must agree to launder the mask daily.
  • As a reminder, everyone must perform hand hygiene before and after touching their mask.

Mask wearing remains optional for employees and providers who work in non-healthcare facilities, including Prestige and the ASB Building.
