Negative PTO Option Available

Read Time: 1 min

During 2020, Kettering Health provided additional support by allowing benefit-eligible employees to go negative in their PTO bank, as staff flexed their schedules. The program expired April 3, 2021, as we returned to normal operations.

Kettering Health will be re-activating this option on a time-limited basis effective August 8, to provide additional PTO support for our benefit-eligible employees through December 31, 2021. Eligible employees will be able to go negative in their PTO bank up to one week of their regularly scheduled hours. This means that a full-time employee who works 40 hours per week would be eligible to use up to 40 hours of PTO that resulted in a negative PTO bank balance.
