Inspire Conference for Women Leaders Promotes Networking and Development

Read Time: 1 min

More than 250 female leaders from Kettering Health Network recently attended the second annual Inspire Conference. The event is designed to provide women tools and skills to lead, mentor, and nurture others while taking the time for self-reflection and growth.

A logo for Inspire featuring a rose bud was unveiled at the conference. The bud signifies the blossoming and brilliance of a beautiful spirit. The Inspire brand will be used throughout the year to highlight programs, events, and services designed to grow women leaders.

The first ever Rose Award was presented to Terri Day, president of Kettering Health Network during the Inspire conference luncheon. “The award recognizes a female leader who continually lives the mission and values of our organization, is a change agent in health care, serves as a role model and mentor to other female leaders, demonstrates a willingness to share expertise with others in the field and helps improve life for others through community service,” says Nancy Robie network vice president for Business Development and Inspire committee chair.

A riveting presentation titled, Cutting through the Noise, presented by Mindset Digital provided attendees tools and tips for creating effective emails, PowerPoint, and social media postings. The bottom line: “less is more. Make every word matter.”

“We’re seeing from the response to the Inspire conferences that there is a strong desire for women to improve their leadership skills and meet other leaders from across the network,” says Terri. “Inspire allows us to connect in a meaningful way with one another.”
