New Partnership Brings Advanced Care to Dayton at Heart-Failure Clinic

Read Time: 1 min

Kettering Health Network has partnered with The Christ Hospital, staffing its life-saving heart-failure clinic with physicians board certified in advanced heart failure.

This partnership allows Kettering Health Network to continue enhancing the cardiovascular care they provide to the community, giving patients
access to local, specialized care throughout their treatment journey. The heart failure specialists from The Christ Hospital that will be serving at the clinic are Eugene Chung, MD; Gregory Egnaczyk, MD; and Thomas O’Brien, MD.

“This partnership will allow us to work together to ensure cardiovascular patients have the access they need closer to home,” said Brian Schwartz, MD, Heart & Vascular medical director at Kettering Health Network. “We are honored to work with The Christ Hospital Health Network physicians to better help our patients manage their conditions and improve their quality of life.”

The heart failure clinic will offer the most extensive expertise across the spectrum of heart and vascular care in the Dayton area, leveraging
the skill of fellowship-trained physicians from two of IBM Watson Health’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in U.S.

“Building bridges in health care always benefits the community, particularly when it comes to critical matters such as cardiovascular care,” said Eugene Chung, MD, medical director of the Heart and Vascular service line at The Christ Hospital Health Network. “We are truly excited to work with the excellent physicians at Kettering Health Network and collaborate in caring for patients in the Dayton area with congestive heart failure.”

The heart failure clinic is located at Kettering Medical Center every Thursday. Patients will be referred by their providers for appointments.
