What is happening?
Information Systems will be deploying the latest version of Microsoft Office. The network has chosen to include two different license levels, which determines the Microsoft product you can use. Both levels include OneDrive storage in the cloud for personal files.
Licenses will be automatically assigned based on each employee’s role in the organization.
How will this affect you?
If you have an Office 365 license currently, the method in which you access Microsoft applications may change. If you do not have an Office 365 license yet, one will be assigned to you.
What are the differences between the two license types?
A Microsoft Office license grants access to both desktop and online applications. An Office Online license entitles the user access to the online applications at www.office.com only. Both license types will have the added benefit of being able to access Microsoft applications from any computer, whether at home or in the office.
