New Visitor Restriction Policy Effective March 20

Due to ongoing concerns about coronavirus (COVID-19), we have implemented new visitor restrictions to ensure the health and safety of our patients, their families, and our staff. Effective Friday, March 20, these visitor restrictions apply at all Kettering Health Network facilities:  

For patients at a hospital 

Visitors for patients at a hospital are not allowed.  

Exceptions: 

  • “End of life” situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis  
  • Maternity patients may have two (2) visitors over the age of 18 
  • Minor patients (under 18 years old) may have two (2) visitors, limited to only parents or guardians 
  • Patients who require assistance due to mobility or safety concerns may have two (2) visitors 
  • Emergency room patients may have one (1) visitor over the age of 18
  • Patients having major surgery may have one (1) visitor over the age of 18

For patients not at a hospital (doctor’s office, outpatient center, emergency room)

One visitor is allowed per patient. However, no visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed unless they are the patient.

Exceptions:  

  • “End of life” situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis
  • Minor patients (under 18 years old) may have two (2) visitors, limited to only parents or guardians
  • Patients who require assistance due to mobility or safety concerns, may have one (1) additional visitor
  • Patients suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 cannot have any visitors, unless the patient is a minor
