Nuclear Medicine Drug Shortage

Sulfur colloid, the drug used for Nuclear Medicine Gastric Empty Studies, is experiencing global shortage. We currently have supplies form local radiopharmacies to provide servce Monday-Friday; there will be no weekend availability for nuclear medicine gastric empty studies.  

We expect this shortage to last until December 17, 2021Please place orders for NM Gastric Empty scans like normal, page for after-hours, and we will communicate any delays directly to the RN.  

As a reminder, we are still experiencing a global shortage formebrofenin, the drug used for Nuclear Medicine Gallbladder Studies. We are limited to performing these studies Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-Noon, and expect this shortage to last through December. Please place orders for NM Gallbladder scans like normal, page for after-hours, and we will communicate any delays directly to the RN.
