Chief nursing and quality officers will relocate to Prestige
Chief Nursing Officer Brenda Kuhn and Chief Quality Officer Teri Sholder are both moving full-time into their network executive positions. Both Brenda and Teri have served in their network roles while also serving as vice presidents at Kettering Medical Center.
After serving as vice president of Patient Care Services of Kettering Medical Center for eight years, Brenda Kuhn is relinquishing her campus duties to focus exclusively on her role as Chief Nursing Officer. She will continue serving as a champion for One Best
Practice in nursing; ensuring mission and culture, optimal quality, safety, service and performance outcomes are successfully deployed throughout each facility. Brenda will continue leading the development of protocols and systems to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction and nurse retention throughout the entire network.
Teri Sholder is also transitioning from a dual role capacity to solely focus on her Chief Quality Officer duties. Teri has served Kettering Medical Center for nine years. As the hospital’s vice president for Quality since 2013, Teri has successfully developed and implemented standardized clinical and operational practices across the network. Under her leadership, all of the network hospitals have recently had successful HFAP surveys and the network ranked in the national top decile for quality and safety according to Truven Analytics.
Teri will continue leading the organization’s quest for the best outcomes in quality and patient safety.
Brenda and Teri’s offices will be relocating to Prestige Place, along with Network Quality Director Bev Schneider. The Kettering Medical Center Quality staff, including Case Management and Social Services, remains on the hospital campus.
