There is a need for COVID-19 testing in the ambulatory space, so we are rolling out point-of-care testing within some of the KPN practices.
To utilize the point of care testing, an accompanied Epic order has been added. The order is POCT SARS-CoV-2 order set (POC21013), and will be live on Wednesday, December 29 at 9 a.m. for those practices that have started the point-of-care testing.
Each question on the order is required to be answered. There are currently three indications for this rapid test.
If your office has not implemented point-of-care testing, please continue to use the same order that you have been using to order a COVID-19 test.
