Over $46,000 Raised for Arthritis

Read Time: 1 min

Southview hosted the Walk to Cure Arthritis and Expo on June 26 in partnership with the Arthritis Foundation. The walk raised funds and awareness to fight the nation’s leading cause of disability. Money raised helped those living with arthritis pain and with funding research to find a cure.

The event featured both a three-mile and one-mile course. Activities for the entire family included arthritis and health information, kids’ zone, food, and raffle and various awards.

David Martineu, MD, of the Hand Center at Southview, served as honorary Orthopedic Chair. Both Dr. Martineu and Southview Administrator Russ Wetherell welcomed the attendees and participated in the walk.

This year’s walk had more than 400 participants and raised over $46,000.
