Pam Marion Named Kettering Behavioral’s Employee of the Month

Read Time: 2 mins

Congratulations to Pam Marion, who was named Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center’s December Employee of the Month! Pam works on the hospital’s Adult Psych unit.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Pam was nominated by two of her co-workers, and you can read the nomination stories below:

“We recently had a patient on the unit that required immediate medical care. The EMS services responded and the patient was taken to the hospital. The nurse on the unit was a little shaken by the situation and it was suggested that she take some time off the unit. Without hesitation, Pam (who was on another unit and had responded to the event) volunteered to fill in for the unit. Although the event was unfortunate, I was taken aback by how great everyone worked together and assisted each other. I was especially impressed by Pam’s actions as she took the lead to ensure that the nurse that needed a break could take one and that the unit would be covered. Behavioral Health is not always predictable; however, employees like Pam provide amazing care and comfort to not only our patients, but also to each other.”

“Pam is a confident and collaborative nurse who will do anything to help the team. She frequently takes on unit challenges and works to solve problems directly. Pam is a leader, and many of her peers look up to her for her expertise, We are blessed to have Pam as a high-performing employee.”
