Congratulations to Pamela Richards, who was named Kettering Medical Center’s February Employee of the Month. Pamela works in 3N Surgery.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Pamela was nominated by a co-worker, and you can read the nomination story below:
“We had a patient on our floor during Christmas, and we did not see anyone come to visit. Pam went home that day and brought back a stuffed animal and coloring book wrapped in a gift bag, and had the hospital ‘Santa’ deliver the gifts to her room on Christmas Eve night.
The patient was so excited to receive the stuffed animal that night. She frequently cuddled it, and named her after staff members. She had a huge smile on her face every time I would go in there and ask her about it.
Pamela is always willing to help out, and truly has a big heart.”
