Passive Screening for COVID-19

Read Time: 1 min

In April 2020, the Governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine, requested that all healthcare facilities screen their employees, patients, and visitors as they enter the facility. As we continue to follow community, state, and national trends and the Governor’s continued orders, we will be modifying the door screening process. Effective March 8th, 2022, we will move to a passive screening process.

Thank you to the countless individuals who heard the call to action to implement the active door screening process in less than 24-hours and those who helped sustain the program for two years through various changes.

For our passive screening process, each entrance at our acute care facilities will have screening attestation signage. Visitors may enter our facilities if they affirm the following:

The signage will direct our visitors not to enter the facility if they cannot agree to all statements.

We ask that employees continue to self-screen for symptoms to prioritize their health needs and keep our community safe.

Thank you for continuing our legacy of compassionate, whole-person care and making Kettering Health both a great place to work and a great place to receive care.
