Patricia Moore Named Kettering Medical Center’s June Employee of the Month

Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Patricia Moore, who was named Kettering Medical Center’s June Employee of the Month! Patricia works as a charge nurse at the hospital.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Patricia was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:

“Patricia’s role is known as a very stressful position. She has reshaped that role for the weekend staff in the operating room and in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit into a positive leadership and mentorship role. For example, you can always hear her laugh before you see her. She smiles every single time I see her. Most importantly she goes above and beyond for patients and families. She even transports patients down from the floor for prep and will transfer them back if needed. She recently went to the Emergency Department to help them retrieve a special nephrostomy bag for a patient when it actually resided in IR. She found it after calling the IR tech at home for assistance in searching for it. She clearly strives to improve communication with staff including Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and the doctors. Doctors have asked, ‘Who is that? She is great.’ She is an absolute pleasure to work with.”
