- It is CRITICAL to document the diagnosis or suspicion of COVID
- This is used to monitor medication, reporting and shortages
- Update the hospital problem list on admission or when a hospitalized patient changes to a Person Under Investigation
- The list of diagnoses that pop up for “COVID” are long, and many will not be relevant.
Although not the currently preferred terms, the first entry that pops up:
- Wuhan
- Wuhan exposure
- Wuhan pneumonia
are all acceptable to help us monitor and supply critical reporting.
