Project SEARCH Honors National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Read Time: 1 min

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), which raises awareness about disability employment and celebrates the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.

In celebration of this month, Kettering Health Network would like to recognize Project SEARCH: a national program that helps young adults with disabilities secure competitive employment. The network is honored to host students from Dayton Public Schools’ Project SEARCH at Grandview Medical Center and  a group from Greene County Career Center at Soin Medical Center. These students report to their assigned campus and participate in an internship while learning job skills in the classroom.

The theme of NDEAM this year is “My Disability is One Part of Who I Am,” emphasizing that people are more than just their disabilities. Take the time and get to know the wonderful students who are providing great service within the network.
