Quarantined Email Traffic

Read Time: 1 min

We have been notified that a local hospital has been seeing suspicious traffic aimed at their network. Due to the nature of our current threat landscape and the likelihood that these threats travel and propagate to other networks and computers by means of email, we have made the decision to tighten our email controls. All email traffic coming in from Dayton Children’s Hospital will be quarantined and reviewed to ensure the safety of the message. Once the message has been confirmed as safe, the message will be released to your inbox.

If you are expecting an email from Dayton Children’s Hospital, it will be quarantined until evaluated. If the message is time-sensitive, please reach out to a member of the Information Security Team or iSupport to have it released.

Please note that this does not in any way indicate an infection within Kettering Health Network or Dayton Children’s Hospital. We are taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of our network and our patients.

This restriction will be lifted once we are comfortable with the types of messages we see intended for our network.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep our network safe.
