Randy Daniels Named OHA Health Care Worker of the Year Nominee

Randy Daniels grayRandy Daniels was chosen by leaders of Southview Medical Center as an Ohio Hospital Association Health Care Worker of the Year nominee and honored at this year’s OHA annual recognition dinner on June 9. Daniels was selected because of his community involvement and his ability to exceed expectations at work.

Randy has received positive comments from various patients in surveys, praising him for his communication with families and great care for patients. His kind and caring nature leads some to call him a “gentle giant” with a big heart and makes him a role model for others. He also shows ambition and a strong work ethic that led him through the ranks from transportation aide to his current post as a registered nurse in radiology at Southview Medical Center.

His nomination read:

“Randy is an everyday hero representing thousands of health care workers throughout the state and nation. He is the leader in transforming the health care experience for every patient and family he touches through his compassionate care and by giving them an unforgettable experience. He is a true inspiration for all staff to follow. His actions seek no reward or recognition, but are genuine characteristics he possesses. He is a role model with a soft voice, easy smile, and calm demeanor toward everyone he meets.”
