Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Rebekah Trimbach, who was named Fort Hamilton Hospital’s August Employee of the Month. Rebekah works in Rehabilitation Medicine at the hospital.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Rebekah was nominated by a co-worker, and you can read the nomination story below:

“A wheelchair-bound patient was anxious about receiving an injection due to her inability to lay flat. She also had issues transitioning out of her wheelchair that caused her a lot of pain. Rebekah was seeing the patient in the outpatient setting for physical therapy and noted that there was also an injection that was outstanding and could possibly help the patient. The patient voiced her concern with the injection and her inability to lay flat on her stomach as required for that particular injection. Rebekah brought the patient to meet with Dr. Taylor and me in the Cath Lab. A plan was set up for the patient to be able to receive the injection to best suit her. Rebekah volunteered to come in on her day off to assist with a hoyer lift to get the patient from her wheelchair to the stretcher. The patient was able to receive the injection with everyone’s help and was very grateful.
