Rita Prichard currently serves as chief nursing officer and vice president of Patient Care at Kettering Health Washington Township.
A native Daytonian, Rita has been with Kettering Health for almost 50 years, working for 34 years as a nurse at Kettering Health Dayton, and spending the last 12 years at Kettering Health Washington Township.
Rita fell in love with the Kettering Health culture when she first did clinicals at the then Grandview Medical Center, and has been hooked ever since.
“There was just something about the place! I love the energy of the hospital, and as we moved to a system (Kettering Health) that energy and enthusiasm was evident everywhere,” she said.
What inspires Rita the most, and what she is the proudest of, are the people she gets to interact with every day—an inspired, caring, and engaged staff.
“People inspire me—there is always something new to do, change, and learn. Getting our people engaged, learning about them, seeing what makes them inspired, and learning what they want to accomplish keeps me going,” Rita shared. “I’m proud of our patient experience and what we provide every patient. Washington Township is a warm and helpful place for everyone.”
