Congratulations to Sajay Pillai, who was named Soin Medical Center’s March Employee of the Month! Sajay works in Respiratory Care at the hospital.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Sajay was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Sajay is a huge asset to our night time respiratory therapists. He is always smiling and happy to help. Whenever there is an emergency, Sajay is right there to lend a helping hand. If we need him to come to the unit and look at ventilators, do blood gases, or even check a BiPap, he is there within what feels like seconds. A couple months back we had a very difficult case in one of our rooms that affected everybody that was working. Sajay never left the patient’s side and was there all night long with the nurse doing whatever needed done to try to save the patient’s life. He is always so positive and brings positive light to such hard times. A couple months back, we had a patient on the unit that needed intubated. Sajay was not even RT for the floor that night, came up and helped me intubate the patient and then take them down for a CT scan with no hesitation. These are only a two of the many times Sajay has been there to help out his fellow nurses and colleagues. We all love Sajay and we love working with him. He goes above and beyond to help everybody and anybody out.”
