Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Sandy Long, who was named Fort Hamilton Hospital’s July Employee of the Month! Sandy works in Environmental Services at the hospital.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Sandy was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:

“Sandy is such a hard worker getting in to rooms immediately to get them cleaned and ready for the next patient. Not only is she thorough at getting the Emergency Department in tip top shape, she is there to lend a hand with what ever is needed. She will get a blanket for a patient, or help move someone if your hands are full. When she isn’t working everyone notices. Several people have commented on what a hard worker she is. She is looking for things that need to be done right up to the time her shift ends. She deserves recognition for her dedication and hard work to keep our department ready for us and our patients.”

Do you know someone who is a Network Star? Help us honor them by telling their story in the Network Stars form, located under the HR tab on the intranet.
