School Supply Program at Fort Hamilton

Fort Hamilton is collecting school supplies for children of employees. Employees can donate July 1 through July 31, and employees can drop off donations in boxes located in participating departments and HR.

Families may register to receive supplies by filling out this form by July 31, which can also be found outside HR, attached to Fort Focus, and at B Level and first floor employee entrances. Completed forms can be emailed to fhhhr@khnetwork.org, faxed to extension 72205, or submitted to the drop box outside HR.

Below is a list of supplies being collected:

  • book bags – Solid colors are preferred. Patterns and multicolored bags should be gender neutral. Please avoid bags depicting skulls, bones, or potentially disturbing images.
  • 3-ring binders
  • colored pencils
  • compass (math)
  • crayons
  • dividers for 3-ring binders
  • flash drive: 1 GB
  • folders, two-pocket, with and without prongs
  • glue
  • graphing paper
  • hand sanitizer
  • headphones or ear buds
  • highlighters
  • index card, blank 3×5
  • liquid paper
  • markers: permanent, washable, dry erase
  • notebooks: composition; 3-subject and 1-subject wide-ruled
  • paper towels
  • pencils: #2, mechanical, regular
  • pens: red, black, blue
  • pink pencil erasers
  • pocket dictionary and thesaurus
  • Post-It notes: 3″x3″ and 1.5″x2″
  • protractors (math)
  • rulers
  • school supply box
  • scissors (all ages)
  • Texas Instruments calculators
  • Wipes: Clorox and baby
  • Ziploc bags: sandwich and gallon size
