Travis Snyder, Sports Medicine Services manager, will once again represent Fort Hamilton Hospital and Kettering Health Network during the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Travis is stationed state side at the United States Olympic Committee Winter Olympic Training Center headquarters in Lake Placid, NY. Travis will provide coverage for full-time staff in Russia and help late departing athletes.

 

 

Cris Crowthers, Fort Hamilton employee, is Hamilton’s 2013 Citizen of the Year. Cris, an employee health nurse, is the founder and operator of The Caring Closet, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Hamilton City Schools’ students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Since May 2010, more than 600 Hamilton children have received clothes and basic necessities, as well as books, through the organization.

 

Tim Scanlon, PA-C, an assistant professor in the Physician Assistant program at Kettering College, is one of only 108 certified physician assistants (PA-Cs) nationally to earn a specialty credential called a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Tim earned a CAQ in emergency medicine. A distinction earned by meeting licensure, education and experience requirements and then passing an exam in the specialty.  He is one of only 14 certified PAs in Ohio, and 530 certified PAs nationally, to earn a CAQ since the program’s inception in 2011.

 

 

Marcy Vixie, R.N., MSN, MBA, CPHRM, is the new quality director for Kettering and Sycamore. Marcy comes to Kettering Health Network with senior leader experience in quality, regulatory, corporate compliance, and risk management. Marcy is responsible for case management, social services, clinical documentation improvement, infection prevention and control, and patient relations.

Marcy obtained her nursing degree from Walla Walla University in Washington and her MBA/MSN from the University of Phoenix.   Previously, Marcy worked for Central Washington Hospital, a large and multispecialty physician group in Washington.

Marcy, her husband Doug, and their adult son Graham enjoy traveling, pets, gardening, and many other activities.

David Howard is the director of construction management. In his new role, David is responsible for providing leadership for the delivery of all significant Kettering Health Network construction projects as well as implementing One Best Practice construction management policies and procedures.

David has worked in many levels of Commercial Construction Project Management prior to coming to Kettering Medical Center in 2010.

As Kettering’s construction project manager, he has worked on multiple projects for Kettering, Sycamore, Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center, and the Schuster Heart Hospital.
