Southview “Thanks for Giving” Luncheon Review

Read Time: 1 min

A “Thanks for Giving” lunch was prepared for the Southview Volunteers as a small gesture of thanks for countless hours the volunteers donate to the hospital each year.

Becky Lewis, President of Southview Medical Center, shared a warm blessing before the volunteers had a feast of turkey, mashed potatoes and all of the fixings. Heather Harp, the dietitian from Southview, presented tips for healthy eating throughout the holidays. The luncheon ended as each volunteer created “Blessing Bags” as a treat to take home.

Staff members and managers wrote sentiments of thanks on leaves, which were then placed on a tree for the volunteers to read. A few of the comments were, “Thank you for your friendship…you are co-workers with us…you always give us a laugh and a smile…anticipates our every need with a smile…you are so important to all of us…thank you for being so caring, loving, helpful, thoughtful and selfless…thanks for volunteering, your actions are priceless.”
