Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Steve Makofka, who was named Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center’s February Employee of the Month. Steve is a psychoeducation group leader.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Steve was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:

“I feel Steve is a huge asset to our patients. He runs several patient groups which are well attended, and patients learn many coping skills from him. He is easy to talk to and a good listener. Another big plus is that he often incorporates music in the groups that everyone can relate to. Recently he volunteered to play at the Christmas open house and staff enjoyed the live accordion music! Thank you, Steve!”
