The structural heart clinic at Kettering Medical Center celebrated the completion of their 100th Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure on August 24 by enjoying brunch with patients who received the procedure.
The first TAVR procedures in the network were performed in November 2014 and the 100th procedure was completed on June 7.
Physicians on the TAVR team include Interventional Cardiologists Brian Schwartz, MD, Raja Nazir, MD, and Prasanth Lingam, MD; Cardiologist and Imaging expert Calvert Busch, MD; Cardiothoracic Surgeons Thomas Merle, MD, and Peter Pavlina, MD; and Anesthesiologists Natalie Godzik, MD, and Ronald Wargacki, MD.
