Submission of Updated Vaccination Record for COVID-19 Boosters and Additional Primary Doses

Read Time: 1 min

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) urges individuals to get the COVID-19 booster shot when eligible after completing the COVID-19 vaccine primary series. Recent studies have shown that protection against COVID-19 infection and hospitalization with the omicron variant is highest for those who are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccination, meaning those who have received their booster dose when eligible. Click here to determine who is eligible to receive the COVID-19 booster and when.

Additionally, those with a moderately or severely compromised immune system should speak with their provider about receiving an additional primary dose of the same mRNA COVID-19 vaccine they previously received at least 28 days after the second dose.

According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine requirement, we are required to track and security document any staff member who has obtained these additional doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. If you have received an additional primary dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or a COVID-19 booster shot, please submit your vaccine card to EHPrograms@ketteringhealth.org so that we have an updated, accurate record of your vaccination history.
