Sue’s Story: Recovering from COVID-19

Read Time: 1 min

You are making a difference. With each interaction—whether it’s with a co-worker, a patient, or a visitor, you are making an impact on someone’s life, striving to guide people to their best health. And while it can be difficult to remember that as the volume of COVID-19 cases continue to rise, John and Sue Whitney are proof of what we can accomplish when we work together.

In the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sue Whitney was concerned about the coronavirus—but she never imagined it would cause her to stay in a hospital for more than four months.

But thanks to you—our team members—she is back at home recovering. From the employees at Southview to the transport team to the staff at Soin, Sue shared, “the care was absolutely magnificent.”

And her husband, John, shares that sentiment: “As far as I’m concerned, they saved my wife’s life.”
