Show Your Support for Heart Health

Read Time: 1 min

Did you know 1 in 3 Americans have some form of cardiovascular disease and that heart disease kills more women than all forms of cancer combined? We can change these statistics by joining together.

The 2014 Greater Dayton American Heart Association 5K Heart Walk/Run is days away. You still have time to lead a team, join a team, or donate.

Why Support the Heart Walk
The American Heart Association supports research funding that develops procedures to save lives to prevent, treat, and defeat heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases. These diseases, the nation’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers claim more than 813,804 American lives a year.

Give a Donation
If you are not able to participate in the American Heart Association Greater Dayton 5K Walk/Run, you can participate by giving a donation to a team captain or online. Make checks payable to American Heart Association.

Kettering Health Network is a Signature Sponsor and wants to be the first healthcare organization in Dayton to ever raise $50,000 for the 2014 Greater Dayton American Heart Association 5K Heart Walk/Run. If every employee gave at least $5, the network would exceed this goal.

Every dollar amount helps the network reach its goal and helps fight heart disease.
