To support funding for Montgomery County Human Services, you can vote for the renewal levy (issue 3) October 11-November 7. This renewal will not raise taxes, and enables Montgomery County to provide vital Human Services to more than 50,000 residents.
Services supported by this levy include:
- Children’s services
- Elderly services, such as health care and meals
- Diagnosing and treating physical and mental disabilities
- Public health services, such as immunizations and food inspections
- Preventing and treating mental health and drug crises
- Preparing struggling adults so they can find jobs
