Susan Aebker Earns Living the Mission Award

Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Susan Aebker, faculty member in the Occupational Therapy department at Kettering College, for earning a Living the Mission Award!

The Living the Mission Award is given to people who bring the network’s mission to life, demonstrating the sacred work of improving the quality of life for people in the communities we serve. They use their own time and resources to transform lives, whether that’s at a network location or out in the community.

Susan went above and beyond to initiate the inclusion of the Occupational Therapy department on the annual Belize mission trip by supervising two students and helping them navigate how the department would be best used to demonstrate servant leadership to those in need of health care. She also worked on two national poster presentations that highlight Occupational Therapy’s role in cultural competence and inter-professional care, which was a chance to highlight Kettering Health Network faculty and clinicians.
