Sycamore Blood Drives a Continued Success

Read Time: 1 min

Since 2013, Sycamore blood drives have been coordinated by Teresa Taylor and Joshua Felts. During this time, their commitment to blood donation and saving lives has resulted in 352 units of blood being donated; this means 1,056 lives in our community have been impacted by Sycamore’s generous blood donors.

In 2018 Sycamore Medical Center received the Community Blood Center Platinum Lifesaving Ambassador Award for blood drive excellence. Sycamore has achieved 100% or more of annual blood
drive collection goals for 2018. This is the highest honor.

The next blood drives at Sycamore will be July 10 and September 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a bus by the cafeteria. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online at donortime.com and enter the code 425.

Community Blood Center is challenging donors to demonstrate courage, commitment, and compassion by donating from spring to fall in the Lifesaving Adventure Blood Drive. Everyone who registers to donate from April 29 to November 2 will be automatically entered in the grand prize drawing to win a custom YETI Adventure Package. It features a YETI Tundra Cooler, plus 27 genuine YETI accessories, including a pair of Base Camp chairs.
