Over the last three years at Christmas time, Wade McDermitt, maintenance and housekeeping manager, transforms the lobby of Sycamore Glen Retirement Community into a magical winter wonderland.
Wade decorates down to the last detail and has been able to weave together many treasures of the past along with new traditions. According to the community center staff, he spends countless hours of his own time making sure everything comes together prior to the many seasonal events and celebrations held at the retirement community during December.
The magical display Wade and his team create truly gives the community residents a unique gift to enjoy during the holiday season.
