Sycamore Receives HFAP Accreditation as Primary Stroke Center

Sycamore Medical Center received reaccreditation as a primary stroke center by HFAP on March 2. Sycamore Medical Center must go through reaccreditation process every three years along with a desktop survey every 18 months.

HFAP conducts an objective review of services provided by osteopathic hospitals. Facilities accredited by HFAP have met all requirements set by the program and meet the necessities to provide continued stroke care for their patients. Sycamore Medical Center’s accreditation as a primary stroke center ensures that they are taking the extra steps to provide the best care for their patient’s safety and health.
