Teresa Salley elected to the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification, Inc. Board of Directors

The American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification, Inc. (ABPANC) has announced that Teresa M. Salley, RN, MSN, MS, CPAN, CAPA, CCRNa has been elected to their board of directors and will begin serving a two‐year term effective July 1, 2018.

Teresa Salley has extensive experience in direct perianesthesia care of patients, and is currently working as a clinical nurse manager, responsible for pre‐admission testing, pre‐op, PACU, and discharge for Sycamore Medical Center.

Teresa has also worked as a PACU RN, pre‐op RN, charge RN, perioperative education coordinator, nursing professional development specialist, director of Clinical/Surgical Services, clinical director of nursing, and other related positions. She is a leader fellowship mentor for Kettering Health Network and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Behavior, Master of Science in Counseling and Human Resource Management, and a Master of Science in Nursing.

American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification Board members are elected to help guide the organization’s programs to achieve its vision of “recognizing and respecting the unequaled excellence in the mark of the CPAN® and CAPA® credential, such that perianesthesia nurses will seek it, managers will require it, employers will support it, and the public will demand it.” As a member of the board, Teresa will represent American Board Perianesthesia Nursing Certification by effectively communicating its positions and policies to perianesthesia nurses, nurse managers, CNOs, hospital administrators, and patients. Individuals elected to the American Board Perianesthesia Nursing Certification board of directors demonstrate the following qualities:
