Congratulations to Terri Collins from Respiratory Care for being recognized as Soin’s January Employee of the Month!
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Terri was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Terri is a very kind and friendly respiratory therapist. She is often praised by her patients. I recently received this letter from a patient: ‘I just wanted to take the time to tell you how much I appreciate your employees. All the respiratory therapists that took care of me during my stay were excellent. There is one however that stands out, and her name is Terri. She was genuinely kind. My husband has Parkinson’s and we enjoy playing Scrabble. Terri and I were talking about the game and I said I had been looking for the Scrabble game with indentations on it to help pieces stay put, and it also swivels. I had been searching for months and I couldn’t find one. Terri said she had one and she would gladly give it to me. I was so happy. She made an extra effort and met my family with the board. You just don’t know how rare that kindness is. Thank you so much for hiring excellent people who do more than what is expected.'”
