Meet Terry Roselmond-Moore, an administrative nursing director at Kettering Medical Center. She is a nurse with a passion for excellence! Patient safety, quality care, and a healthy work environment for her staff are her top work priorities. Terry was born in raised in Barbados, a tiny island in the Caribbean, and immigrated to the United States 40 years ago. Throughout the years, she has been a bedside nurse in several different hospitals and worked as a public health nurse at county and state levels which led to working on projects with both the Institution for Healthcare Improvement and the CDC. Early in her career she worked as a nurse manager and became a nursing director 14 years ago. Before she started working at Kettering Medical Center in 2013, she participated in several mission trips to Africa and Honduras and helped clean up in the Gulf after Hurricane Katrina.
Terry remembers being so impressed with the beauty of the Kettering campus, but more importantly, she identified with the umbrella of sacred work that took place in the network. The ability to pray with her patients, staff, and colleagues was important to her. She feels that one of her greatest accomplishments at the network has been growing a team that performs beyond expectations. A team that focuses on what matters most, every time. She is inspired by the team of managers and staff she works with every day. Amazing people who go into work every day to the very best they can for their patients and the organization. When the going gets tough, they step up and ask how else they can help.
Terry encourages everyone to “love what you do and be passionate about it! Strive for excellence and continue to learn and grow. Set goals and work toward achieving them.”
One of her favorite hobbies is writing devotionals for an annual women’s ministries devotional book and she has had four published over the last seven years. In addition to a wonderful nurse, she is a mother to daughter, Taryn, who is also a nurse.
