The Giving Tree featured at Sycamore continues to be well supported. Various departments in the hospital take turns sponsoring the Giving Tree for two months at a time. Each department chooses a different organization from the community to donate to. In the past, pet items, hats and coats, and book bags have been collected and donated to various organizations.
For June and July, Hannah’s Treasure Chest was selected by Clinical Quality. Hannah’s Treasure Chest has a mission of providing clothing, furniture, and toys to families who struggle to raise their children with sufficient resources.
Lindsay Bird from Clinical Quality said: “As a working mother of three young children I realize the daily struggles to provide for your family. I am honored to promote a donation drive that benefits children and improves their confidence with the items they will receive.”
The Giving Tree is located in the Main Lobby across from Patient Registration.
The following items can be donated:
- Baby or children items
- Maternity clothes
Email notifications are sent out to all employees at Sycamore Medical Center to encourage them to donate to the Giving Tree.
