Congratulations to Tiffany Karns, who was named Kettering Physician Network’s October Employee of the Month! Tiffany works at Xenia Family Practice.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Tiffany was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
A long-term patient of Xenia Primary Care was experiencing health issues. Care Coordinator, Tiffany Karns, was actively communicating with the patient and staff to care manage her needs. It was during a patient encounter that Tiffany witnessed the difficulties associated with the patient’s hearing loss and knowing that the patient was unable to afford hearing aids, Tiffany purchased them for her. Tiffany then showed the patient how to use and maintain the hearing aids and her reward was seeing the patient’s delight. However, Tiffany did not let anyone know that she had done this wonderful deed as she is very generous in her actions in caring and giving to others.”
