Tina Kilburn grayTina Kilburn-Stewart was selected by hospital leaders to represent Grandview Medical Center as an Ohio Hospital Association Health Care Worker of the Year nominee. As a health care worker who serves the community and exceeds expectations at work, she was honored at this year’s OHA annual recognition dinner on June 9.

Tina serves as a clinical care coordinator, but she has taken on multiple other roles in times of need. Last year, she served as leadership liaison for the intensive care units and pediatric progressive care unit when her manager and clinical care coordinator were out of town. She also volunteers in the community as “band nurse” for the Fairmont High School band and assists in organizing and planning Christmas parties for the residents of two local nursing homes.

Her nomination read:

“Tina has so much heart for her patients and her coworkers. […] She is a very positive, caring, and energetic person. She celebrates the successes of her team and develops ways that they can support each other as well. She is very creative. On her current unit, she developed a ‘Tweet’ board where she recognized the staff by ‘tweeting’ (posting) positive comments the patients were including on their survey related to the nursing staff.”
