Travel Guidance for Employees

Read Time: 1 min

In accordance with the Director of Health’s rescinding and modification of the Stay at Home and Stay Safe Ohio orders to the issuance of an Urgent Health Advisory: Ohioans Protecting Ohioans, the prohibition and restrictions on travel have been lifted, such that travel outside the state of Ohio is permitted but not encouraged, with the continued intent of lowering the rate of spread of COVID-19.

During the pandemic, KHN has followed orders and guidance of the Ohio Director of Health, CDC, and GDAHA. As we move into this new phase with modified and lifted restrictions, KHN encourages all employees and providers (including physicians) to continue practicing social distancing, avoid large crowds, maintain strict hand hygiene practices and wear a face covering.

For individuals traveling internationally, please notify your local campus Employee Health Department prior to departing.  Anyone who travels internationally will still need to quarantine for 14 days, prior to returning to work, upon returning to the United States per CDC guidelines.

All who choose to travel are encouraged to take your temperature with a thermometer two times a day and monitor for fever, cough or trouble breathing. Our goal remains to protect the safety and well-being of all employees, providers and the patients we serve.
