With its open house on June 9 and the first patient day on June 18, Kettering Health Network’s Troy Hospital has celebrated its official opening in Miami County.
More than 5,000 people attended the hospital’s open house, enjoying fun family activities and touring the network’s newest hospital, which includes inpatient beds, an intensive care unit, operating rooms, 24/7 emergency services , cardiac testing, telehealth, and multiple preoperative and post-operative care beds. With services rolling out for the rest of the year, Troy Hospital will continue to grow to best serve the community.
“The Troy facility is designed to provide health care access close to home, literally downtown ,” said Eric Lunde, president of Troy Hospital. “Now residents have the choice to come to a Kettering Health Network facility that us close by.”
The hospital’s medical office building is set to begin operations in August and is expected to house primary care, cardiology, orthopedics, urology, and general and vascular surgery.
Women’s health, brain and spine, behavioral health, and endocrinology/diabetes are all services on the hospital’s radar that may be added later.
Kettering Cancer Care will roll out this fall at Troy Hospital, providing comprehensive oncology services to the community.
Located at 600 W. Main St., in the middle of Troy , the hospital’s goal it to give Miami County residents access to whole-person healthcare near where they work and live.
“A lot of community members came to us and asked if we would be part of the community,” Lunde said. “We’re happy to be able to provide services for folks that are close to home , with easy access to the care they’ve come to know and trust from Kettering Health Network.”
