Tuta Ionescu Recognized as Employee of the Month

Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Tuta Ionescu for being named Kettering College’s April Employee of the Month! Tuta works in the college’s Radiologic Technology Department.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Tuta was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:

Tuta Ionescu (chair of the Collegiate Life Committee) has worked hard and inspired the committee and others to contribute to service/mission opportunities provided through the college. She has been a tireless promoter of support for the mission trip scholarships given each year. For the Valentine Lunches, and most recently the Valentine’s Banquet, Tuta organized raffles and bids on baskets that gave faculty, staff, students, and others the opportunity to help fund these scholarships, which encouraged camaraderie and good feelings within the college.

Tuta has also been faced with the recent illness and death of her beloved mother overseas. In spite of the hardship of dealing with the loss of her mother, Tuta has put on a brave face and soldiered on to make sure tickets were sold and the auction and raffles occurred at the Valentine’s Banquet.

Tuta is an inspiration to all of us at the college, and I’m proud to make this nomination.
